In a meeting held via video-conference on Thursday, May 12, the Council of the General Representation of the Beneficent Spiritist Center União do Vegetal decided to maintain the suspension of Sessions and in-person activities throughout the entire month of May.

In the meeting, the President of the UDV, Mestre Tadeo Feijão, presented a report of the actions taken in response to COVID-19 that have been implemented by the state authorities of all the regions in Brazil as well as in the international field, in the countries where the União do Vegetal is present, in this way allowing for a balanced and sensible decision.

On May 27, the Council of the General Representation will meet again to consider the subject, after reviewing the information that will be presented by each of the Regions’ administrations (19 in total from the 11 countries where the UDV has Núcleos), regarding the circumstances necessary to be able to resume activities in June.

The General Representative Mestre, Paulo Afonso Amato Condé, delivered a message of faith and trust to the associates of the Center: “To those who hopefully await our activities to resume again soon, we give the orientation to trust the Mestre, cultivate faith and optimism and rest assured that this is also the feeling of the Direction of the Center. All the circumstances are being carefully considered to ensure that this moment happens safely, preserving the health and the well-being of our irmandade.”
