TV show exhibits interview with General Assistant Mestre of the UDV

The General Assistant Mestre of the Beneficent Spiritist Center União do Vegetal José de Anchieta Torreão de Sá was interviewed by the program Bahia da Gente, from the channel TV of Assembleia Legislativa da Bahia.

In the interview, Mestre Anchieta as he is more commonly known, explains what the União do Vegetal is and speaks about the benefits of the use of the Hoasca Tea (also known as Ayahuasca) within a religious context.

The Bahia da Gente program interviews people from the state of Bahia who stand out in different areas of life or provide relevant services to society.

Citizen of Bahia

The General Assistant Mestre José de Anchieta Torreão de Sá was born in Campina Grande, Paraíba but lives in Salvador since 1969. In 2017 he received the title of citizen of the city of Salvador in a Town Hall session in the capital due to his work in the União do Vegetal benefitting people.

In all the UDV has six General Assistant Mestres who together with the General Representative Mestre are part of the General Representation, which is the commanding body in the União do Vegetal.

Solemn Session in the Assembly
The Legislative Assembly of Bahia also realized a Solemn Session in tribute to the 50 years of the União do Vegetal, commemorated on July 22nd, 2011. The session was a tribute to the work realized by the UDV in Bahia and occurred on August 4th, 2011.
