Love and care in the plantation of Mariri and Chacrona

| January 24, 2019

“You have to bring people to an awareness that Mariri and Chacrona have to be planted and born from the heart. It’s like taking care of a child.” (Mestre Florêncio Siqueira de Carvalho –in memoriam– in quoting what Mestre Gabriel taught in respect to our sacred plants).

For the effect of mental concentration, the associates of the Beneficent Spiritist Center União do Vegetal drink Hoasca tea (also called Vegetal) in their sessions. Known still as Ayahuasca, the tea is prepared from two plants from the Amazon, the Mariri vine (Benisteriopsis caapi) and the leaves of the Chacrona tree (Psicotria viridis), planted in a sustainable way and with love and care, as it was taught by Mestre José Gabriel da Costa, creator of the UDV.
To express this care to the general public, and principally to the associates of the União do Vegetal, the Departments of Memory and Communication (DMC) and Plantation and Environment (DPMA) of the General Directorate of the Center made a video. This work also aims to educate members of the União do Vegetal about the importance of planting Mariri and Chacrona. The video can be watched below.
